Body Non-Invasive Care

Re-align at Total Health . . .

 Reduce Pain & Restore Function

back pain

Chiropractic looks at the entire canvas of the body.  Chiropractic physicians rely on the body’s innate ability to self-heal. Dr. Ken has practiced non-invasive, natural, and drugless health care for 32 years in the Memphis community.  Like other health-care providers, chiropractors perform consultations, review case histories, conduct orthopedic, neurological, and physical examinations, often requesting x-rays to gain information about the patient. Unlike other health-care providers, however, chiropractic physicians also conduct a careful analysis of the patient's structure and pay particular attention to the spine. Dr. Ken also asks tons of common sense questions about a patient’s life.

Using this information, a diagnosis is made. Included in the diagnosis is the probable reason for a patient’s pain or discomfort. It is important to note that chiropractors seek the origin of the condition in order to eliminate it - Dr. Ken does not simply treat the symptoms!  For example, if your roof is leaking, do you simply catch the drips in a bucket for years on end, or do you repair the roof to prevent it from leaking? Similarly, if the excruciating low back pain you've had all week is being caused by misaligned vertebra and an irritated nerve, do you continue to take pain killers indefinitely, or do you realign the vertebra to prevent the pain?

Chiropractors have a term for misalignments: subluxations. A vertebral subluxation is a misalignment of the bones that protect the spinal cord. It's the leak in the roof. The severity of the subluxation can vary, and many contributing factors are involved, such as physical, emotional, mental, or chemical. The subluxation can be caused by any number of incidents, from a birth trauma, a bad fall, a car accident, or simple over-use.

At Total Health, Dr. Ken and his staff seek to uncover your whole health and wellness picture, find the origin of your health problem, and fix it, rather than merely treating your symptoms.
